Dr. Luisa Molina is currently the President of the Molina Center for Strategic Studies in Energy and the Environment (MCE2), a non-profit organization that she founded in California in 2004. She is also affiliated with the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She received her B.Sc. in Honours Chemistry from McGill University in Montreal and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. She joined MIT in 1990 where she conducted research in the Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory and also served as the Executive Director of the Integrated Program on Urban, Regional and Global Air Pollution.  Prior to joining MIT, Dr. Molina held teaching and research positions at the Santa Cruz and Irvine campuses of the University of California and Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the California Institute of Technology.  Dr. Molina is the author or co-author of over 1800 archival publications in peer-reviewed journals and co-editors and chapter authors of several books. She has received several awards for her work, including the Volvo Prize in Environment in 2004. She is also an AGU fellow and members of ACS, AGU, EGU, et al.
