Junji Cao, the professor of Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), won the"2013 FrankA. Chambers Excellence in Air Pollution Control Award" in the 106th Annual Conference and Exhibition of Air and Waste Management Association which held in Chicago, USA on June 24 to 28, 2013. He is the first Asian researcher who won the award. President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chunli Bai sent a congratulation letter.
Frank A. Chambers Excellence in Air Pollution Control Award was found on 1955 by Frank A. Chambers (1899-1951), who is also the founder of Air and waste Management Association, aims to award the scientific researcher in the world who has made an outstanding contribution to air pollution control. The award is authored every year and only for one person. It need three famous scholars nominated and independent recommendation and do not accept individual applications.
