All Units Concerned:

　　 In accordance with the Measures for Management of Special Funds for Scientific & Technological Cooperation between CAS and Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, the scientific and technological cooperation projects between CAS and the above-mentioned three countries are hereby collected. 
　　As approved by leaders of CAS, the range of support of the special funds will be expanded to countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia from the above-mentioned three countries from 2009. All researchers with our Academy who execute cooperative researches or short-term study in the above-mentioned countries will be qualified to enjoy increase of monthly support from 8,000 yuan to 12,000 yuan, and researchers and core technical members to our Academy from the above-mentioned countries for cooperative researches will enjoy the monthly support of 12,000 yuan remained unchanged as ever. 
　　All the units planning to apply for the special funds are required to submit the application materials with common seal to the Office of European Affairs, the International Cooperation Bureau before Jan. 25, 2009. The application form needed can be downloaded from:
